Overspeed
Summary
- Overspeed occurs when an aircraft has an airspeed higher than the maximum recommended limits the plane was designed for. As airplanes fly at faster speeds, design accommodations have to be made to prevent the plane from losing control (even partially), having airflow problems (either to the engine or over the surfaces of the wings), or losing integrity of the plan structure.
