• The Purple Turtle is the name of a group of burners, mostly visual and performance artists as well as engineers and photographers, that is based in San Diego. Collectively known as 'purple turtlers,' they create a camp that provides a large public 'chill space' known as the Purple Turtle Catnip Lounge at Burning Man and other regional events and art festivals in or near San Diego.
