Summary
- Royal Ordnance was the new company name of the United Kingdom government-owned Royal Ordnance Factories which were privatised in 1984. They were bought by British Aerospace (BAe) in 1987, which became BAE Systems in 1999, but the sites still retained their former name, either as Royal Ordnance or later RO Defence.
