Sanford Meisner

• Sanford Meisner (born August 31, 1905, New York City, died February 2, 1997, Sherman Oaks, Los Angeles, California) was an actor and a teacher of acting. A founding member of the Group Theatre in New York during the 1930s and 1940s, he went on to teach at the Neighborhood Playhouse for more than 50 years.
