Sound operator

Summary

• The sound operator (or sound board operator, sound technician, sound mixer or A1) is the person who is responsible for operating the sound equipment in theatre to make the production sound as specified by the sound designer. This may include operating a mixing console and sound reinforcement system, as well as co-ordinating sound effects and balancing microphones.
