Summary
- A Stokes vector (S) is a four element vector representation of unpolarized, partially polarized, or fully polarized light. The four elements S0, S1, S2, and S3 are sometimes refered to by the historical terms I, Q, U, and V respectively and are referred to as Stokes Parameters.
